Learn what Vindication promo pairs like Board Game Revolution, Man vs Meeple, and Board Game Co. add to your collection, and whether they're worth tracking down.
Quick Answer
Vindication promo pairs add unique promo cards that celebrate gaming media partners, but they don't introduce new gameplay mechanics—they're collectible extras that can complete your set or enhance your Vindication experience with themed art.
What Makes Promo Pairs Different from Regular Expansions?
Unlike expansions that add new rules or components, Vindication promo pairs are small card packs that feature two promo cards. They're designed to support gaming media communities, so each pair is themed around a specific partner (like Board Game Revolution or Man vs Meeple).
Because they're promo items, they were originally distributed through specific channels (like Kickstarter campaigns or media events), which means they may be harder to find today. That scarcity is part of their appeal for collectors.
Are Promo Pairs Worth the Cost?
The value of a promo pair depends on your goals. If you're a completionist, these cards are a low-cost way to fill gaps in your Vindication collection. If you're looking for game-changing content, you'll be disappointed—they don't alter core gameplay.
At around $2 each, they're an affordable collectible. However, if you already own the 'fully loaded Archive of the Ancients' (which includes some promo pairs), you may already have them, so check your collection first.
