A practical buying guide to the Vindication Man Vs Meeple promo pair: what the cards actually do, who should grab them, and when to skip them for sleeves or the base game instead.
Quick answer
Buy the Vindication Man Vs Meeple Promo Pair if you already own the Vindication Base Game and want to complete your promo collection or add a small, thematic card set tied to the Man Vs Meeple crew. Skip it if you do not own the base game, or if your budget is better spent on the Vindication Sleeves or the Vestige Cultivation of Power Scrap Pack. At its catalog price of USD 1.83, it is an easy add-on rather than a standalone purchase.
What the Man Vs Meeple promo pair actually adds
The Man Vs Meeple Promo Pair is a two-card promo set featuring members of Man Vs Meeple. According to the catalog, these card pairs 'pair well with your honor' and are meant to complete a Vindication collection. That is the full scope: it is a small promo addition, not a gameplay expansion. You are not buying new mechanics or a new mode. You are buying a collectible card pair that fits the existing Vindication experience.
That distinction matters for your decision. If you want more content to play with, this is not the product for you. If you are a collector who already owns the base game and wants the promo shelf to look finished, this is exactly the kind of low-cost pickup that makes sense. The catalog does not list card counts, stats, or specific in-game effects for this promo pair, so treat it as a thematic collectible rather than a balance-changing addition.
Price and value compared with other Vindication pickups
At USD 1.83 against a catalog comparison price of USD 3.00, the promo pair is the cheapest Vindication item in the supplied catalog. The Vindication Base Game sits at USD 74.25 against a USD 99.00 comparison price, and the Vindication Sleeves are USD 3.70 against USD 5.00. If you are already ordering the base game or sleeves, adding the promo pair barely changes your total. If you are ordering the promo pair alone, shipping and handling can easily cost more than the cards themselves.
The sleeves are the more practical purchase for most players because they protect the cards you already own. The promo pair is the more emotional purchase because it fills a gap in a collection. Neither is wrong; they just solve different problems. The Vestige Cultivation of Power Scrap Pack is a different conversation entirely: it contains 12 new cards and requires Vestige to play, so it only makes sense if you own that game.
How to decide before you buy
Ask three questions in order. First, do you own the Vindication Base Game? If not, buy the base game first and revisit the promo later. Second, do you already sleeve your cards or plan to? If yes, add the Vindication Sleeves to the same order so the promo cards get the same protection as the rest of your set. Third, is this purchase about playing more or collecting more? If it is about playing more, the promo pair will not deliver that, and your money is better spent elsewhere.
One honest limitation: the catalog does not specify card size for the promo pair, so we cannot confirm whether the 69mm x 120mm Vindication Sleeves will fit these particular cards. The sleeves are explicitly listed for the Chronicles Expansion only. If sleeve fit is critical to you, verify card dimensions before ordering, or accept that you may need separate sleeves.
Decision rules for the Vindication Man Vs Meeple Promo Pair
- Rule 1: Own the base game first: The promo pair is designed to complete a Vindication collection. If you do not own Vindication Base Game yet, put your money there first and treat the promo as a later add-on. No base game, no promo purchase.
- Rule 2: Bundle it, do not ship it alone: At USD 1.83, the promo pair is cheap, but shipping a single card pack rarely feels worth it. Add it to an order that already includes the base game or sleeves. Bundle or wait.
- Rule 3: Separate collecting from playing: If you want more gameplay, the promo pair will not satisfy that. Look at the Vestige Cultivation of Power Scrap Pack for 12 new cards, or explore other Vindication content instead. Collectors buy the promo; players buy content.
- Rule 4: Check sleeve fit before assuming: The Vindication Sleeves are listed for the Chronicles Expansion only. The catalog does not confirm the promo pair's card size, so do not assume these sleeves fit without verifying. Verify dimensions or accept the risk.
Catalog facts that shape the decision
- Vindication® Man Vs Meeple Promo Pair (2022): Complete your Vindication collection with these promo cards featuring members of Man Vs Meeple. These card pairs pair well with your honor. This is a collection-completion item, not a gameplay expansion, so it appeals most to owners who want a finished set rather than more content.
- Vindication® Sleeves (69x120mm): Each pack comes with 100 Crystal Clear Premium 69mm x 120mm sleeves. These particular sleeves are for the Chronicles Expansion only. If you are ordering the promo pair and also want to protect your cards, these sleeves are the Vindication-branded option, but they are sized and intended for Chronicles large cards, not necessarily for the promo pair.
- Vindication® Base Game: Vindication is a highly strategic fantasy-based tabletop board game for 2-5 players, combining exploration, resource management, area control, and combo creation. The promo pair only has context if you own this base game, so confirm ownership before adding the promo to your cart.
- Vestige™ Cultivation of Power Scrap Pack: This Vestige Scrap Pack features 12 new cards to shuffle into your collection. Expansion content, requires Vestige to play. If your real goal is new cards to play with, this is a better fit than a two-card promo pair, but only if you already own Vestige.
